    Lumen Technologies

Lumen Technologies is a company that focuses on a number of innovative technologies. These technologies include Quantum Fiber, Edge Cloud and IT Agility, and Connected Security. They also offer a wide range of products and services. Lumen’s mission is to help businesses and institutions achieve the best possible outcomes from their networks.

    Quantum Fiber

CenturyLink has begun rolling out its Quantum Fiber product in metro Denver. This new internet service uses fiber optic networks to deliver up to eight gigabits per second in upload and download speeds. This is nearly 40 times faster than most consumer broadband networks. The company’s plan has no contracts and costs $65 per month for almost one gigabit of speed. The company also offers a lower-cost option that offers just 200 megabytes of data. With the new service, CenturyLink has taken a step toward overcoming the problems it has had in the past with its spotty internet service.

The company plans to maintain the CenturyLink brand for legacy copper services and for existing FTTH customers. However, it will introduce the Quantum Fiber brand for SMB and enterprise services. Once this switchover is complete, Lumen plans to roll out Quantum Fiber to additional markets.

    Adaptive Networking

Lumen Technologies, formerly CenturyLink, has been rebranded as a company that helps enterprises navigate the fourth industrial revolution. The company’s goal is to further the evolution of humankind through technology. The fourth industrial revolution is a transformation in the way we do business. With increasing amounts of data being collected, companies need to be able to act on that data in order to survive in this new world.

Lumen provides flexible, hybrid network solutions that respond quickly to customer demands. These solutions enhance application experiences by delivering low-latency, high-performance data access. Furthermore, Lumen’s global threat intelligence, network-based security controls, and deep security expertise help customers protect sensitive data and applications. Its solutions also facilitate collaboration and communication across organizations.

    Edge Cloud & IT Agility

Lumen Edge Computing solutions streamline processes and reduce downtime by running high-bandwidth applications and powering real-time decisions. These solutions are designed for medium to large enterprises and are available worldwide. The cloud-native architecture eliminates the need for multiple datacenters and infrastructures.

Modern workloads require high bandwidth and low latency. IT leaders are embracing the edge model to address these requirements. Lumen Edge Computing nodes are designed to meet 98% of enterprise and public sector demand for low-latency connectivity, linking sites at the edge to the core. The Lumen Edge Computing platform provides flexible application delivery options over the largest ultra-low-loss fiber network in North America. The company’s network boasts 3.5 million miles of high-capacity fiber for increased throughput and lower latency.

Lumen has announced plans to expand its edge services into Europe. The company attributes its growth to increasing demand for low-latency applications. Lumen recently won a $137 million contract with the US Customs and Border Protection. In addition, it has secured a $1.6 billion contract with the Department of Interior and $1.2 billion with the Department of Agriculture.

    Connected Security

Lumen Technologies is a provider of connected security solutions. Its managed security services help business owners protect their data and operations. Lumen is a VMware partner. It also offers connectivity, managed services, and consulting services. In the public sector, Lumen has partnered with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).

Lumen offers a managed security service that is built on an edge computing platform. It supports zero-trust networking protections that are part of a recent White House executive order. In addition, Lumen has a partnership with Palo Alto Networks to support the Lumen managed security solution. The combined offerings will help government agencies adopt cybersecurity tools faster.

Lumen delivers platform capabilities over a secure, high-speed network. This enables it to deliver new levels of performance, and protect the data and applications of its customers. Lumen’s network can connect to public or private networks. Customers can also access its cloud-based layer 2/3 Cloud Connect service.

    Global content delivery network

Lumen’s global content delivery network delivers unique content to users across the world. This cloud-based platform combines powerful content delivery features such as content localization, device-side delivery and routing. It enables enterprises to build better business models and win customer loyalty. The Lumen CDN is designed to deliver content quickly and reliably to any device, anywhere in the world.

Lumen’s CDN offers global scalability, high performance and video expertise. It also provides state-of-the-art security and unique mesh and load balancing capabilities. With these features, it helps companies increase the speed of content delivery and minimizes network overload risks.
